Compressed Air Engineer

Job Title: Compressed Air Engineer


Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (08.30-16.30 Mon-Fri)


Location: Midlands, UK (with occasional national travel)


About the Role:


As a Compressed Air Engineer, you will:


  • Perform planned maintenance and service on various compressors and compressed air systems.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, identify necessary parts, and complete repairs.
  • Provide detailed reports and communicate findings to management.
  • Offer improvement suggestions directly to clients, enhancing customer satisfaction and system efficiency.

About You:


  • At least 4 years of experience in the compressed air industry.
  • Strong knowledge of air dryers, filtration, and pipework systems.
  • Proficiency in mechanical/electrical engineering with substantial product knowledge of major compressed air systems (e.g. Compair, Hydrovane, Ingersoll Rand, HPC, Atlas Copco).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for advising and engaging with clients.
  • A keen understanding of industry Health & Safety standards.
  • Diagnostic skills to effectively identify and solve issues.
  • Reside locally (preferred) and hold a full UK driving license.
  • GCSE or equivalent in English Language (required).

Trainee Compressed Air Engineer

Job Title: Trainee Compressed Air Engineer


Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (08.30-16.30 Mon-Fri)


Location: Nuneaton, Midlands, UK (with occasional national travel)


Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

The Role: We are seeking a motivated Trainee Compressed Air Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in electrical or mechanical engineering who are looking to advance their career in the compressed air industry. The position includes extensive training and development opportunities, making it perfect for individuals transitioning from other sectors, including ex-military personnel.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of compressed air systems.
  • Conduct routine checks and diagnostics to ensure system functionality.
  • Learn to interpret system and equipment drawings, specifications, and operational manuals.
  • Work closely with experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of compressed air systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service, understanding client needs and delivering effective solutions.
  • Always ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:


  • Background in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the industry.
  • Experience in the military or similar structured environments is highly regarded.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
